Membership Page and how to Join

Membership runs annually from 1st January each year.

We have different types of membership:

• Ordinary Single £7.50

• Ordinary Joint £10.00

• Your views represented at both GCCF at Council and British Group BAC Meetings

• We  welcome membership applications from everyone who is interested in the British Shorthair (including Manx and Selkirk Rex cats (these cats are all grouped together as ‘Section 3’ by the GCCF for Showing purposes). We particularly encourage applications from people starting out on their journey with a British Shorthair – as a pet, becoming involved in showing or planning to breed.

• We can help with advice and guidance from  Experienced Breeders

• We offer a free addition to the SBSHCC Breeders page, inc a link to your website or Facebook cats page,  Kitten and Rehome Lists.

• We offer a Discount given by Langford for genetic testing

We accept Bank Transfers and or Standing Orders.

For membership enquiries download the form and send to Fran ,once the commitee have approved you will receive an email asking for payment, providing bank detail.  One the Treasurer confirms payement if received Fran  will  confirm your membership to the Club.

PREFIX APPLICATIONS

A person shall have been a member for at least one year before asking the Club to support an application for a prefix.  Any applications will then be considered as long as the member renews after the first year.  If you are new to breeding and need a mentor please email us through secretary@southernbritishshorthaircatclub.com

RENEWING MEMBERSHIP EACH YEAR.

The treasurer emails all members in january of each year with the bank details so they can renew by Bank Transfer or set up a Standing Order. ​​
